Student Details:
Name: Goran Macura | Nationality: Slovenian | Birth Date: 11/14/78
What is your family background?
Hey! My name is Goran and I’m 34 years old. I am from the city of Ljubljana, Slovenia. My mother and I live together in an apartment. Before I was born, my father left my mother, so it is just the two of us. None of my family is Christian, but they know who Jesus is but are unwilling to submit their lives to Him.

How did you come to know Christ?
Before I was saved, from 1996 to 2008, I was a drug addict for twelve years. In 2008, I went to a rehab center in Croatia that happened to be a Christian center in the town of Split. While there, I was told for the first time about Jesus being the Son of God and that He is alive because God has resurrected Him. During that time, I was have a hard time grasping all of this; I knew that I was not perfect, but I didn’t know that I was considered an enemy of God. It took me eight months until I went to Jesus and asked for forgiveness and for Him to take all my sins away, but at this point, I wasn’t willing to give Him my life. After ten months of his patient love, I finally gave Him my live and I received the Holy Spirit. Since then, my life has been made new! My whole live has turned to Jesus and it isn’t about me anymore. Jesus changed me and I am a new person. I am the son of a living God.

What is your future vision upon finishing the Bible College?
After Bible College, I’m going to work with children; specifically boys who are struggling with the same problem that I once had. I believe that I am more called to be the person that could help prevent the problems of drug addictions rather than help those who are trying to heal and get over their drug addiction, but if someone was having a problem with addiction than I would be willing to help them.

How has Bible College impacted you thus far in your walk with the Lord and in equipping you for the future?
Now that I am in Bible College, the Lord has been working on my heart and He wants to clean it of all the fears that I still have because of being rejected by my father. God is helping me overcome this by continuing to be in prayer with Him, as well as spending more time in His Word.
